Solutions
Critical infrastructure. From a single UPS to an AI data centre.
UPS Solutions designs, supplies, installs, commissions, monitors and maintains mission-critical power, cooling and data centre infrastructure across Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and the Pacific.
From UPS systems and batteries to server rooms, liquid cooling, modular data centres and AI infrastructure, our vendor-agnostic engineers bring the right technologies together for the application in front of them.
One environment, one partner
One provider across the critical environment
Power, cooling, infrastructure, monitoring and service are usually bought from different suppliers, then expected to work as one system. We supply and support all five layers, which is why they behave like one system on site.
Every layer
The circle closes with one supplier. Each arc is a layer of your critical environment. All five of them are ours, which is what makes the ring complete rather than a collection of gaps you have to manage.
What we offer
The solutions we offer
Every one of these is something we supply, engineer and support ourselves rather than pass to somebody else. A single replacement unit and a complete environment reach the same engineers, and the smaller job is very often how the larger one begins.
A snapshot, not the whole list. If it belongs in a critical environment, we can usually specify it, supply it and keep it running. Tell us what you are looking for
End-to-end power, cooling and infrastructure for mission-critical sites
One replacement unit or a complete environment. The same engineers size it, build it, commission it and maintain it. Tell us what the load is and we will tell you what it needs.
Our core capabilities
The five disciplines behind every one of them
The list above is where people start. These five are the disciplines sitting behind all of it, each one engineered, delivered and supported by our own people rather than bought in and passed on. Critical power remains the foundation and the largest part of the business, and the other four are that same engineering applied further into the room.
The foundation, and still the largest part of what we do
Single-phase, three-phase, modular, industrial and high-density UPS systems. Lithium-ion and sealed lead acid batteries, battery cabinets and large battery racks. Bypass, PDUs, power conditioning, surge protection and power distribution. Our own ranges sit alongside every major global manufacturer, so the specification follows the application rather than a supply agreement.
Room, row, rack, chip
Precision cooling, CRAC, InRow and rack-based cooling, chilled water and specialised systems. As density rises the heat moves closer to the silicon, so the cooling follows it: rear door, direct-to-chip liquid cooling, immersion and coolant distribution.
We do not just supply the components, we understand how they work together
Server rooms, communications rooms and edge infrastructure. Racks, containment, power, cooling, monitoring and DCIM. Modular data centres, prefabricated infrastructure and containerised environments built and tested before they reach the site.
The next evolution of the same engineering
AI and accelerated compute are a density problem before they are anything else. High-density UPS and racks, liquid cooling across rear door, direct-to-chip and immersion, coolant distribution, monitoring and prefabricated AI infrastructure. We have been sizing power and removing heat since 2002. The load simply got bigger.
The part that runs for the life of the equipment
Remote and environmental monitoring, DCIM, preventative maintenance, UPS servicing, cooling maintenance, battery replacement, repairs, installation, commissioning, emergency support and asset replacement. Multi-brand, so one agreement can cover every manufacturer on the floor.
These five do not change with the size of the job. What changes is the scale they are applied at.
Capability at every scale
The same five capabilities, from one rack to a campus
Power, cooling, infrastructure, intelligence and lifecycle apply at every size of environment. Only the engineering behind them gets bigger. Choose the one closest to yours to see what that looks like in practice.
Desktop & office
One unit protecting a workstation, a till, a camera system or a small cupboard.
The unit is sized against the load and the runtime you actually need, rather than copied from the nameplate on the old one. Supplied from stock where we hold it, with installation and replacement batteries available whenever you want them.
Communications rack
One or two racks in a comms room, usually shared with network and security equipment.
Rackmount UPS, power distribution, rack or in-row cooling where the cupboard runs hot, and a monitoring card so a battery reaching end of life is visible long before it drops the rack.
Server room
A dedicated room the business genuinely depends on.
UPS and batteries, precision cooling sized to the real heat load, racks and containment, environmental monitoring, then installation, commissioning and a maintenance agreement that covers all of it rather than one part of it.
Critical facility
A site that cannot take an outage, whether or not anyone calls it a data centre.
Redundant power topology, three-phase and modular UPS, thermal design, battery systems built for the runtime the site actually requires, full commissioning, and 24/7 emergency response standing behind all of it.
Data centre
A complete environment, engineered from the load study up.
Load studies and redundancy topology, power and thermal design, racks and containment, DCIM and monitoring, commissioning, then lifecycle maintenance for the years that follow. One organisation across every stage.
Modular & containerised
No building, no time, or no appetite for a long construction programme.
Prefabricated and containerised environments, integrated and tested in a controlled facility before they reach the site, so far less of the build has to happen around your operation.
AI & high density
Rack densities that air cooling was never designed to carry.
High-density UPS and racks, liquid cooling across rear door, direct-to-chip and immersion, coolant distribution, and the monitoring that keeps all of it serviceable in a live room.
No enquiry is too small to engineer properly. A replacement UPS gets sized against the real load, not guessed from the old nameplate. That habit is the reason customers who started with one unit come back to us when they are building a hall.
Our projects
The critical infrastructure we already protect
Hospitals, defence, airports, universities, data centres and mine sites do not get to reschedule an outage. That is the standard the rest of the work is held to.
Recent work
Case studies across data centres, hospitals, government, universities, utilities and heavy industry, most of them still under our maintenance agreements.

Trusted where failure is not an option

The full lifecycle
Design. Supply. Build. Support.
Eight stages that run as a cycle rather than a straight line. We can join at any point in it. Some customers need a replacement unit quickly. Others need an entire environment assessed, engineered, delivered and then maintained for the next decade. Both are normal.
The eighth stage feeds the first. Maintenance data is what tells you when to reassess, upgrade or replace, which is where the next cycle begins, and it is why the people who commissioned your system are the same organisation answering the phone years later.
Stage by stage
What those eight stages actually involve
Assess, design, engineer, supply, install, commission, monitor, maintain. Not a menu to pick from, and not a handover from one company to the next. Every stage below is delivered by our own people, across every manufacturer on your floor rather than only the equipment we sold you, and you can join the cycle at any point in it.
A pre-site survey before anything is specified: the load you actually run, the runtime you need, the heat that has to be removed, the space and access you are working with, and whatever is already installed. Out of that comes the redundancy topology, the thermal design and the project plan.
The specification is chosen on merit across every manufacturer we are accredited with and our own XRT ranges, never on what we would rather sell. Then it is supplied from stock where we hold it, or prefabricated and tested in a controlled facility before it ships.
Certified electrical and mechanical teams, project managed from survey through to handover. Energisation, functional testing, performance verification and operator training happen before we leave, and you get the documentation rather than a delivery docket.
The longest stage, and the one that decides whether any of the others held. Monitoring across every brand on the floor, scheduled maintenance, battery testing and replacement, spares, and emergency response around the clock. One agreement can cover the lot, including equipment we did not supply.
Vendor agnostic by design
The right solution matters
We are accredited with the major global manufacturers and we also build our own equipment ranges, so we are not arguing for one ecosystem over another. That means a specification can be decided on the merits of the application rather than on what happens to be in front of us, and it is why the same four questions get asked on a single-unit replacement and on a data hall.
Both answers are legitimate. Some applications are better served by a global platform and some by ours, and we will tell you which one yours is. A genuine comparison is worth more to us than a single sale, because the system has to be maintained by us afterwards either way.
Our own technology
We build across the environment, not just the UPS
Manufacturing our own equipment lets us hold local stock, control lead times and engineer an alternative when a supply chain moves, and it runs across all four layers rather than one. None of it sits in front of the manufacturers below, the specification decides which one you get.
Global manufacturers
Accredited across the brands you already run
Accreditation means factory training, parts access and warranty standing rather than a badge on a website. It is also what lets one maintenance agreement cover a room with three different manufacturers in it, including equipment we did not originally supply. Alongside these three we specify, supply and service Socomec, Riello, Delta, Huawei, Centiel, Piller and Stulz, among others.

From now to what comes next
The same engineering, applied to a much denser load
Rack densities have moved further in the last few years than in the whole period before them. Air runs out, floor space runs out, and the power path has to be rebuilt around it. The three platforms below exist because customer requirements outgrew what could be bought off a shelf, and they are how a site gets from what it runs today to what it will be asked to run next.

One team across engineering, delivery and service
Everything on this page is delivered by our own people. Multidisciplinary teams spanning electrical, mechanical, engineering, IT and data management, alongside field engineers, service technicians, project coordinators, monitoring specialists and the warehousing and logistics behind them, supported by trusted specialist partners where a project calls for them.

Australia & the Pacific
Engineering, stock and field service across the region
Engineering, warehousing, inventory and field service are in-house and held in-region, across Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and the Pacific. That is what allows us to respond quickly, and to hold a site in the Pilbara to the same standard as a site in Sydney.
Offices and service centres. Sydney (head office), Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Perth and Adelaide, plus Darwin, the Gold Coast, Hobart and the Sunshine Coast, alongside our New Zealand head office in Auckland. That footprint is what turns a response time into an operational fact, and it is also why an equivalent can usually be engineered when a global lead time moves.
Why UPS Solutions
One partner for the system you cannot afford to lose
Everything above comes back to the same six things. They are the reason a single replacement unit and a full data hall can sit with the same organisation, and the reason the people who commission your system are the ones answering the phone years later.
The record behind it
Tell us what the load is. We will tell you what it needs, and then we will look after it.
Common questions
About our solutions
The questions we are asked most often by procurement teams, facility managers and engineers.
What does UPS Solutions actually do?
UPS Solutions is an Australian critical power and cooling company established in 2002. We design, engineer, supply, install, commission, monitor and maintain mission-critical infrastructure: UPS systems, batteries and energy storage, precision and liquid cooling, racks and containment, monitoring software, server rooms and data centres, including modular, containerised and AI-ready environments. We operate across Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and the Pacific.
Can I buy a single UPS, or do you only take on large projects?
A single unit is completely normal and a large share of what we do. You can buy one UPS, one set of replacement batteries or one service visit. The same engineers who design data centre power sit behind that enquiry, which is why a small system still gets sized against your real load rather than guessed from the old nameplate.
How do I know what size UPS I need?
Three things decide it: the total load the UPS has to carry in watts or kVA, how long that load needs to stay up once the mains fails, and whether you need room to grow. The common mistake is copying the rating off the old unit, because the equipment behind it has usually changed. Send us the equipment list or a photo of the switchboard and we will size it against the actual load, including the runtime the batteries need to deliver.
Which manufacturers do you work with?
We are vendor agnostic. We hold accreditations including APC Elite Partner, Eaton Power Advantage and Vertiv Gold Partner, and we work with Schneider Electric, Socomec, Riello, Delta, Huawei, Centiel, Piller, Stulz and others. We also manufacture our own ranges, including the XRT series, Matrix-S and our battery cabinets. Because we are not locked to one ecosystem, the specification follows the application rather than a supply agreement.
Do you service equipment you did not supply?
Yes. Multi-brand service is a core part of the business. One maintenance agreement can cover every manufacturer on your floor and every site you run, which removes the common situation where three different vendors each service part of a room and none of them owns the outcome.
Do you offer 24/7 emergency support?
Yes. Emergency response is available around the clock, delivered by our own field engineers and technicians, and backed by stock held across our service centres so a replacement part is not left waiting on an overseas shipment. Remote monitoring means many faults are raised with us before anyone on site notices them.
Can you support AI and high-density data centres?
Yes. We deliver high-density power, liquid cooling across rear door, direct-to-chip and immersion, coolant distribution, monitoring, and prefabricated and containerised data centres for accelerated compute. This is an extension of the critical power and thermal engineering we have done since 2002 rather than a new line of business.
How quickly can you supply a UPS?
It depends on the system, but speed is built into the model rather than promised case by case. We hold stock across our Australian and New Zealand service centres, manufacture our own equipment ranges, work with multiple global suppliers and can engineer an alternative when a lead time moves. Common requirements are frequently covered from stock held here.
Do you design and build complete data centres?
Yes. That includes load studies and redundancy topology, power and thermal design, racks and containment, monitoring and DCIM, commissioning and ongoing maintenance. We also deliver modular, prefabricated and containerised environments that are integrated and tested before they reach site, which suits projects with no building, no time, or no appetite for a long construction programme.
Where do you operate?
Australia wide, with offices and service centres in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Perth and Adelaide, plus Darwin, the Gold Coast, Hobart and the Sunshine Coast, and engineers mobilised to regional and remote sites. We also serve New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and the Pacific Islands.
