The Controller Unit

The Brain of Your Battery Monitoring System

The Controller is a sophisticated hardware device that continuously captures, processes, and stores crucial data from batteries and their environment at four-second intervals. This continuous monitoring enables the accumulation of data essential for reporting trends and making informed decisions.

Central to this system, the Controller integrates data from the Hubs and mSensors, including measurements of battery voltage (DC and ripple), impedance, temperature, string voltage, current (DC and ripple), humidity, and ambient temperature.

Included Features:

  • Reliable Data Collection: Confidently gather and record battery data every four seconds.
  • Quick Issue Identification: Ensure battery data is always at hand for rapid problem detection.
  • Customised Data Access: Easily access and understand the recorded data in a way that best fits your operational needs.

Supporting Components

Hub: Efficient Battery String Management

The Hub optimizes battery management by linking data points across each string, minimising cabling and supporting dual functions like temperature and current measurement for simpler setup and expansion.

mSensors: Accurate Battery Data Collection

mSensors provide accurate battery data, measuring voltage, impedance, and temperature. They feature 750Vdc optical isolation for safety and are designed for straightforward 'plug and play' installation in racks or cabinets.

Integration and Efficiency

  • Seamless Integration: Hubs and mSensors use Modbus for easy system compatibility.
  • Effortless Expansion: Enables simple scaling of monitoring capabilities without major infrastructure changes.
