Line-Interactive Pure Sine Wave 1U Rackmount UPS Systems

Compact 1U Rackmount Design

Line-Interactive Pure Sine Wave Power

Australia-Wide Expert Installation

The LRT3 Range is a line-interactive, pure sine wave UPS built for rack environments where every millimetre counts. At a single rack unit high it protects network switches, routers, NVR recorders, POS systems, edge servers and workstations without displacing the equipment it defends, while two programmable outlet groups let you decide exactly what stays powered, and for how long.

20+ years • 100,000+ UPS units supported • 24/7 support

The UPS Solutions LRT3 1U Rackmount Range
Engineered for Compact Efficiency

The LRT3 conditions incoming mains and transfers to battery only when the supply falls outside acceptable limits, which minimises battery cycling and extends service life. On battery it delivers a true sinusoidal waveform, so active-PFC power supplies, network hardware and sensitive electronics keep running cleanly.

Output is selectable across 200, 208, 220, 230 and 240V at -10% / +6%, with 50 or 60Hz at ±0.1Hz, so the same unit suits varied site requirements. A graphical LCD with five-button control puts operating status and settings at the front of the rack, and USB, RS232, a communication slot, dry contact, ROO and RPO are all fitted as standard.

Both models share the same topology, the same 1.5A charge current, the same display and the same communication set, so behaviour, commissioning and monitoring stay consistent across the range.

Why Invest in the LRT3 Range?
Dependable Protection for Everyday Critical Loads

Rack space is expensive, and most comms cabinets are already full. The LRT3 gives protection back without taking a shelf, and its two programmable outlet groups turn a short runtime into a controlled one by shedding non-critical equipment so battery capacity is reserved for what matters.

It suits any rack where the load is modest but the uptime is not. A 1U chassis, quiet operation and pure sine wave output make it equally at home in a server room, behind a retail counter or in a comms cupboard on an edge site.

Applications

Network and Comms

  • Switches and routers
  • Firewalls and modems
  • Edge servers and NAS

Retail and POS

  • POS terminals and registers
  • Payment hardware
  • Back-office PCs

Security and Edge

  • NVR and CCTV recorders
  • Access control systems
  • AV and control racks
Key Features of the LRT3 Range
One Rack Unit, Total Control

Every LRT3 carries the same feature set regardless of capacity, so what follows applies equally to the 650VA and the 1150VA.

Both models share a 438mm wide, 43mm high chassis that drops straight into any standard 19-inch rack, along with the same line-interactive topology, the same 1.5A charge current, the same display and the same communication set.

Nothing below is a cost option, so commissioning, behaviour and monitoring stay consistent whichever capacity you specify.

Features:

Pure Sine Wave Output. Clean, utility-grade waveform for sensitive active-PFC loads.

✓ Two Programmable Outlet Groups. Both switched groups are configured independently, so non-essential equipment can be dropped on battery while critical loads run on.

Graphical LCD Interface. Five-button navigation, ESC, UP, DOWN, ENTER and ON/OFF, with no laptop required.

Comprehensive Connectivity. USB, RS232, communication slot, dry contact, ROO and RPO fitted as standard.

Low Noise Operation. Under 40 dBA, suited to comms cupboards, studios and open-plan offices.

Easy-Maintenance Batteries. Standard sealed 6V blocks laid out for straightforward inspection and replacement at end of life.

Backup times are stated at 100% resistive load with new, fully charged batteries at 25°C. Actual runtime depends on load, battery age and ambient temperature. Lightly loaded systems will run considerably longer than the figures above.

LRT3-650

Shallow comms cabinets. A single switch, router and modem, or a small POS counter. The shorter chassis at 363mm deep, with four outlets.

LRT3-1150

Mixed racks with six devices to protect: switches, NVR, firewall and a small server, where outlet count matters as much as capacity.

Connectivity and Control, Built In

Intelligent Management

The graphical LCD is the primary interface for the LRT3. Five buttons step through operating status, measurements and settings, and configure the behaviour of both programmable outlet groups, all without a laptop. Everything below is fitted as standard on both models, so integration options do not change with capacity.

Standard

USB

Local server shutdown and monitoring software.

Standard

RS232

Serial monitoring and legacy management platforms.

Standard

Communication Slot

Expansion for additional communication options as site requirements change.

Standard

Dry Contact

Volt-free status signalling to a BMS, alarm panel or third-party monitoring platform.

Standard

ROO, Remote On/Off

Starts and stops the UPS output from a remote control point.

Standard

RPO, Remote Power Off

Emergency shutdown of the protected load from a remote button or fire system interface.

Both switched outlet groups are configured from the front panel, so load-shedding behaviour can be set during commissioning and revised on site as the rack changes.

Why Choose UPS Solutions?
For Rack and Network Power Protection

Book a site inspection or speak with our team about your power and cooling needs. Rack power is rarely just a UPS, it is cabinet depth, outlet count and deciding what stays running when the rest is shed. Tell us what is in the rack and we'll confirm whether the LRT3-650 or the LRT3-1150 suits it.

✓ End-to-End Solutions. From a single 1U rackmount UPS through to racks, cooling and three-phase systems, we supply the whole power chain rather than one part of it.

✓ Trusted Expertise. More than 20 years protecting network, retail, healthcare and industrial sites across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.

✓ Commitment to Quality. Design, supply, install and service, backed by an Australian team and long-term parts and service support.
