Twin CRAC Commissioning
Commissioning Two 12kW Rack-Mounted CRAC Units, New South Wales
Commissioned Properly. Handed Over Ready.
Commissioning is where a cooling installation proves itself
Background
At a site in New South Wales, our technician recently commissioned two 12kW rack-mounted CRAC units supporting an IT equipment environment. During testing, multiple alarms were identified on one unit.
Diagnosis and Resolution
Diagnostic work traced the remaining high-pressure alarm to an open control signal between the rack-mounted cooling unit and its external unit. Once the connection was restored, the alarm cleared and the unit operated normally. The second unit completed testing without issue.
Project Highlights
- Two 12kW rack-mounted CRAC units commissioned
- Network connection established for unit control
- Refrigerant and control-system checks completed
- Customer-requested temperature set to 21°C
- Both units completed mains-failure testing
Handed Over Ready
Identifying and correcting issues before handover is what ensures cooling equipment is operating as intended, and ready to support the environment around it.
