For 25 years, UPS Solutions has evolved alongside the technology we protect. From UPS systems and critical power to cooling, software, modular data centres, liquid cooling, monitoring and the infrastructure powering the next generation of AI.
25 years of evolution
We did not keep adding products. We kept following our customers' infrastructure.
Every stage of this business exists because customer requirements became broader and more complex. The capability grew to meet them.
Foundation: specialist UPS supply
We began predominantly as a vendor UPS supply business, supplying leading global brands including APC, Eaton and Vertiv. This period established our critical-power knowledge, our supplier relationships and our customer base.
From product supply to field delivery
We built our field-service capability and began delivering complete site outcomes rather than equipment alone. Early data-centre projects included Volkswagen, QUT, Sanity Technology and EB Games.
Critical infrastructure at greater scale
The business expanded into government departments and major infrastructure environments, including airports. Our engineering, project-delivery and service footprint continued to grow in mission-critical environments.
Broader technology and our own capability
We deliberately expanded beyond traditional UPS systems into software, monitoring, precision cooling and broader data-centre infrastructure, and developed our own high-quality ranges to complement our global vendor partnerships.
The AI and high-density era
With AI and high-density compute transforming data-centre requirements, we partnered with global leaders in infrastructure manufacturing. Our capability now spans high-density power, liquid cooling, prefabricated and containerised data centres, monitoring and end-to-end AI-ready delivery.
Twenty-five years following the changing infrastructure requirements of our customers, from protecting equipment, to supporting complete critical environments, to helping build the next generation of AI infrastructure.
Where it started
UPS systems are our foundation, not our limitation
UPS Solutions began as a specialist supplier of the world's leading uninterruptible power brands, and we are proud of it. Those partnerships remain central to the company today, and our accreditations with them are current and active.
The distinction is what happened next. We did not remain a product reseller. The technical capability we built around critical power became the foundation for broader engineering, field service, cooling, data-centre and infrastructure delivery.
The name reflects where we began. It no longer describes the full scope of what we design and deliver.

Alongside our own equipment ranges, developed to complement these brands rather than replace them. That combination is what lets us specify on the application instead of the agency.
From supply to engineering
The moment we stopped selling equipment and started delivering outcomes
Supplying the right unit is the easy part. Making it work in a live environment, on a real site, with real constraints, is engineering.
From 2008 we built our own field-service capability rather than subcontracting it. That decision changed the business. We began delivering complete site outcomes, and completed our first data-centre projects for customers including Volkswagen, QUT, Sanity Technology and EB Games.
Today that team handles specification, installation, commissioning and 24/7 emergency response across every asset we supply and a great many we did not.

Load studies, heat load calculation and redundancy topology, sized on measured requirement rather than a rule of thumb. This is where a project is either set up to work or set up to be rebuilt in three years.

We are not purely a hardware business
Critical infrastructure fails quietly long before it fails loudly. A battery string degrades, a filter loads up, a phase drifts. None of it announces itself until the day it matters. Our monitoring and DCIM platform gives customers live visibility of power and thermal assets across sites, regardless of which manufacturer built them.
Worked example. A degrading battery string in Melbourne is flagged weeks before it fails, and the visit is scheduled into a planned window. The same contract covers the Perth UPS from a different manufacturer, so the customer sees one estate rather than a dozen separate relationships.
The AI infrastructure chapter
AI did not change what we do. It changed the numbers we do it at.

Independent since 2002, and still led by the people who built it
UPS Solutions has remained privately held throughout its growth. Directors Frank Kane and Isaac Prakash continue to lead the business, and the company has built a specialist engineering, project and field-service team around a technically demanding niche.
Independence has practical consequences for customers. Decisions are made quickly, without a regional approval chain. Engineering judgement is not overruled by a quarterly sales target set in another hemisphere. And relationships are measured across equipment generations rather than reporting periods.
The next 25 years look like the last 25. We will keep following the infrastructure requirements of our customers, and we will keep building the capability to meet them before they need it.
