Project Overview:

Electrical Infrastructure Upgrade and UPS Installation for Wipro Melbourne



In December 2022, UPS Solutions undertook a three-day project for Wipro Melbourne, aimed at upgrading their electrical infrastructure and installing a new Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) system.


The Challenge:


Wipro Melbourne required an upgrade of their electrical infrastructure, including the installation of a new UPS system, to ensure reliable power for their operations. The task presented a significant challenge: executing the upgrade and installation without disrupting the client's ongoing operations.

The Solution:


The UPS Solutions team developed a meticulous plan to carry out the upgrades over three days. Day one was dedicated to the completion of the electrical infrastructure upgrades necessary for the new UPS installation. This involved the installation of a new bypass switch, allowing for the rest of the installation to proceed during business hours, without any disruption to Wipro Melbourne's operations.


The Outcome:


The first day of the project was executed flawlessly, with the successful installation of the new bypass switch and completion of the necessary electrical infrastructure upgrades. The next steps would involve the completion of the UPS installation during business hours, with a clear assurance of no disruption to the client's operations.

Continuing the project from Day 1, in December 2022, UPS Solutions embarked on the second day of electrical upgrades and UPS installation at Wipro Melbourne.

The Challenge:

The UPS installation posed a significant challenge due to the restricted space available at the site. Installing the new UPS system required careful manoeuvring, precision, and specialised equipment to avoid disruptions and ensure a safe, successful installation.

The Solution:

Our dedicated Victorian team approached the challenge innovatively. Using custom-made lifting and manoeuvring equipment, the team was able to place the UPS system into the tight space with exactness and care. This specialised approach was a testament to UPS Solutions' capability to customize solutions to fit the unique constraints of each project.

The Outcome:

Day 2 concluded successfully with the expert manoeuvring and installation of the UPS system in the designated space. The custom equipment and our team's expertise facilitated a seamless installation process despite the physical constraints.
