Book it inbefore you close the door.
Heat is the single biggest factor in equipment failure, and in Australia the hottest weeks of the year land right across the holiday period. Get your power and cooling serviced while the calendar is open.
The people go home.
The load does not.
Over summer most sites get quieter while the equipment works harder. Your UPS and cooling run through the hottest weeks of the year, often with fewer people around to notice a fault. A service booked now gets it checked, tested and sorted on a day that suits you, at planned rates, with time to order any parts it needs. Leave it and the same job becomes an emergency callout in the middle of a heatwave.
Four things worth doing before summer.
Major & minor services
Across UPS, power and cooling, scheduled around your site and your calendar.
Battery replacements
Ageing strings are the most common cause of UPS failure, and heat is what finishes them off.
Precision cooling
CRAC, in-row and rear door servicing before the hottest months of the year.
Remote monitoring
Alarms and status straight to your phone, so you know what the rack is doing from anywhere.

What our technician actually does on site.
Scope varies with the system and whether it is a major or minor service, but a typical visit covers the following.
- Physical inspection of the unit, enclosure, connections and terminations.
- Battery condition testing, including terminals, signs of swelling, corrosion or leakage.
- Thermal scan of connections to find hot spots before they become faults.
- Cleaning of ventilation and internal dust build-up, a common cause of early failure.
- Settings, firmware and alarm history reviewed, so nothing has been quietly logging.
- Functional test, including transfer to battery and back.
- Written report with findings, anything at risk, and what we recommend next.
Three things you can do right now.
Battery health check
Six questions, a reading on screen you can print, and a written report if you want one. Takes about two minutes.
Start the health check →UPS Fault Finder
A beeping UPS or a warning light, with no manual to hand. Six questions and you get a likely cause, how urgent it is, and what to check safely.
Start the fault finder →5kW CRAC install, Perth
Dedicated cooling for an internal equipment room: indoor unit, external condenser, commissioned and handed over.

How far ahead should I book?
The earlier the better at this time of year. November and December fill up, and booking early means you pick the date rather than fitting around what is left. If something is already showing symptoms, call us rather than waiting for a booking.
Do I have to shut equipment down?
Not usually. Most inspection and testing happens with the system live. Anything that does need the load transferred or the unit taken offline is discussed and scheduled with you first, never sprung on the day.
What does it cost?
It depends on the system, the site and whether it is a major or minor service. Send through what you have and we will come back with a price before anything is booked.
Can batteries be replaced in the same visit?
Often yes, if we know the make and model ahead of time so the batteries are on the truck. That is worth flagging when you enquire, because sourcing afterwards means a second visit.
What if something fails over the break?
