How long do CSB batteries last?

It depends on the series and operating conditions. General-purpose GP batteries have a design life of up to 5 years, high-rate long-life HRL up to 10 years, and front-terminal TPL up to 12 years. Stable temperatures (around 20–25°C) and correct charging help you get the full rated life.

What's the difference between the CSB GP, HR, HRL and TPL series?

GP is general-purpose standby power for everyday backup. HR is built for high-rate discharge in UPS systems. HRL adds a longer service life (up to 10 years) for UPS and telecom. TPL uses a front-terminal design for rack and cabinet installs with a design life up to 12 years. (XHRL is an extreme high-rate version of HRL, and EVX is made for deep-cycle, cyclic use.)
