Optimising UPS System for a Perth-based Company

The client was operating on a 120kVA UPS, which was well beyond its life expectancy. A site visit revealed that their actual load was under 15kVA, implying that their current UPS system was substantially over-specified. The unit required a major part replacement, implying significant cost and effort.

The Solution:

Upon assessing the client's actual requirements, UPS Solutions proposed to downgrade the UPS to a 40kVA unit while retaining the existing battery string, which was in good condition. This solution was not only more cost-effective but also more suited to their actual power needs.

The Outcome:

The new 40kVA UPS unit was successfully installed, backed by a full two-year warranty and a complimentary preventative maintenance service from UPS Solutions. This fit-for-purpose solution ensured optimal power backup for the client's needs, leading to improved efficiency and lower operational costs.
