Eaton Powerware 9X55 is designed for centralised power protection of server farms, networks, building systems, PC/work stations, telecommunication system, industrial automation and other critical systems requiring high power availability. It is suited for protecting modern high 0.9 PFC compensated servers and communications devices. It is able to feed highly non-liner loads and provide extended back up time with battery cabinet options.

• Double conversion
Powerware 9X55 features an active IGBT rectifier for controlling input power factory. This feature guarantees high 0.99 PF with low harmonics <5% THD(i). The UPS does not need an expensive and additional input filter to be “mains friendly” and “generator compatible”.
• Advanced Battery Management (ABM)
The ABM functionality provides 50 % longer battery life compared to traditional charging methods. It charges batteries only when necessary to prevent formation of internal battery corrosion and unnecessary ageing of the battery. Consequently battery lifetime is prolonged on average by 50% compared to constant float charging method. The ABM feature provides real time information on battery string health and battery run time remaining.
• Software Suite bundled
The Powerware 9X55 includes the award-winning LanSafe 5 software. It is the convenient power management software offering network shutdown and UPS management for all common network operating systems.

• Active input power factor control (PFC)
The 9X55 features an active IGBT rectifier to control the input power factor. It provides 0.99 PF and generator friendly <5% THD(i) harmonics. The rectifier features the latest technology never seen in this low power range as standard. As a result, the UPS draws almost perfect sinusoidal current and helps to optimise the sizing of system components.
• High 0.9 PF output rating
The output of the Powerware 9X55 is well suited for modern server and computer loads with new PFC compensation features. Also non-PFC loads are no problem thanks to the PWM inverter control with high switching frequency and low <50 dB(A) audible noise.
• X-slot connectivity
Communication is well suited for network management, building management, and industrial systems. Options include SNMP/Web, Modbus/Jbus, and AS/400 relay cards.
